With large and small scan modes that simulate a laser line and a manual-leveling feature in horizontal and vertical planes, this rotary laser is the perfect tool for any number of indoor or outdoor jobs. The rotary also features variable rotational speeds and a scan line that can be moved in either clockwise or counter-clockwise directions, whiles the simultaneous 90° split beam in vertical mode adds versatility.

Features

    LASER LEVEL This Johnson Self Leveling Kit is ideal for various indoor and outdoor jobs. Its small and large scan modes simulate a laser chalk line; while the horizontal and vertical planes provide the manual-leveling feature.

    MODES The self-leveling rotary laser level may release a simultaneous 90° split beam in the vertical mode; increasing the level's versatility. This 4 “AA” alkaline battery powered level has scanning modes like 0°; 30°; and 60°.

    SCAN LINES This manual-leveling rotary laser system features scan lines that can easily be moved in either clockwise or anticlockwise direction. This feature makes this level useful for a variety of applications in construction and more.

    ROTATIONAL SPEEDS This manual rotary laser supports variable rotational speeds of 150-300 RPM. A variable RPM allows you to set the laser to the speed that provides the optimum visibility.

    APPLICATIONS This rotary laser may be used to check cut and fill; set foundations and footings; concrete pours; septic tanks and basement excavations; acoustical ceiling and drywall; align and plumb walls; level deck floors; set drainage; terracing; and more.

I bought this as an open box used product. I got the level and the base holder was broken (That's why it was returned). I emailed Johnson Level & Tool and they sent me a replacement base for free! It was a $60 item to purchase on their website. It is nice that some companies still have good customer service. I used it to level my backyard and do some grading. It worked great. I used it at distances of 10ft up to 100ft. I used the AdirPro Universal Rotary Laser Detector LD-8 with the Johnson Level. Great value and worked fine for my job requirements.
