A very good economic item to add to the part time luthiers kitThese files have a grit baked on the. I thought they were normal files, I don't really like these for the purpose I need wood workingThese are not nut files. They are files but cheap ones at that. They can be used for filling small spaces for a variety of projects but never on my guitar. Notva complete waste of money but they are as cheap as they look.Do not take a chance on ruining your guitar by using the wrong tools on it. These are the WRONG tools to do what you need to do. Spend the extra money and get a good set of files.Out of the pack, only 2 would barely work to slot the bone to saddle and fit guitar strings. Would work on bass string nuts just fine. Had to use mini coping saw with thin blade to cut grooves, then carefully file using the 2 files that worked to finish off the grooves. Disappointed the other files wouldn't serve any real purpose.Great little set of tools.Files for adjusting nut slot depth or bridge slot depth must be round and the same diameter as the string or very slightly larger. This set is not made for this purpose. These are general purpose mini-files. You find these sets in discount bins in hardware stores for a buck or two. The seller is claiming these are for luthier work. They aren't.Great set of files can be used on many areas on any guitar or anywhere you need to fileThis is NOT for filling guitar nut slots
